Unique Palm Beach Wedding Venues

November 2, 2020 by Rackel Gehlsen Leave a Comment

Every wedding venue in Palm Beach is unique, and each one has features that set them apart from one another.  Lots of yachts offer a unique wedding venue on the sea, and they have a large variety of sailboats to a 170 yacht for 500 guests.  If you are a patron of the arts, the Norton Museum of Art always has wonderful collections on display, and the sculpture garden is absolutely beautiful.  For the equestrian lover, the International Polo Club Palm Beach is a must see.  Your ceremony can actually take place right on the polo field, and there are indoor and outdoor locations for the reception.

Garden Wedding Venues in Florida

One of the most breathtaking venues for a garden wedding is the Morikami Museum and Japanese Garden.  Sunset wedding ceremonies over the lake are absolutely magical.  There are waterfalls and bridges all throughout the property offering endless locations for romantic wedding photos.  One of the areas I like the most is the area just below the steps overlooking the lake.  It is the perfect setting for a wedding reception where you can dine under the stars and then dance the night away.

Mansion Weddings in Florida

If you haven’t been to Vizcaya on Biscayne Bay in Miami, you need to go.  It is majestic in every way imaginable.  This mansion was built in 1916, and it is known for its enchanting gardens, water-front terraces, and Mediterranean Revival architecture.  Every room is the perfect backdrop for photography.  From the collection of artwork to the vine covered gazebos in the gardens, this century old landmark is one of a kind.

Private Mansions for Weddings in Florida

There are several private mansions here in Florida, and the Henry Morrison Flager Museum is one of my favorites.  Located in Palm Beach, it was built in 1902 by Henry Flager.  Upon its completion, the New York Herald proclaimed it “more wonderful than any palace in Europe, grander and more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world.”  This mansion was actually Henry’s wedding gift to his wife Mary Lily Kenan and the mansion was originally known as Whitehall. It has the most gorgeous double staircase, marble floors throughout, crystal chandeliers, and painted ceilings. It truly is the perfect location for a dream wedding.

The Sundy House is a historical building surrounded by an acre of lush tropical gardens in Delray Beach.  It is an intimate restaurant and boutique inn, and you can stay in one of their cottages.  It is a short walk to popular shops and dining, and you can easily incorporate a cruise on the intercoastal for a wedding weekend  activity.

Rustic Wedding Venues in Palm Beach County, Florida

When I think of the perfect location for a rustic wedding theme, I immediately think of Swank Farm located in Palm Beaches.  Their 8500 square foot barn is stunning, especially under the hue of candlelight.  The farm sits on 20 acres and is an actual working farm.  Their Saturday Farmers Market is a must do, and their  menu features many of the vegetables grown on property.

Now that you have some unique wedding venues in mind it’s time to start planning.   Just make sure you read our blog post on the 4 Questions to Ask a Wedding Venue before you book.
