Hello there! I know you must have a gazillion questions. Below, I have compiled a list of the questions that I receive the most. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to Contact me.

What is your photographic style?
My style is romantic, nature-inspired, and fun. My goal is to capture the unique alchemy of love that exists between each couple. Looking through my galleries, you will find lots of images taken in beautiful natural places, and many fun and funny images. Are these the types of photos you want as memories of your wedding day? If so, then you've found the right photographer!
What is an engagement session?
I am a strong believer in the importance of an engagement session. Think of it as a practice for the wedding day. You can use these images for a guest book, a "save the date" announcement, framed wall art, or as a coffee-table album.
How long is an engagement session?
We will have 90 minutes for you to get comfortable with being in front of the camera. During this time we will get to know each other better, which can help you feel more at ease in front of the camera on your wedding day. I hear from so many of my couples that they were amazed how relaxed they felt, and how much fun they had.
Where should we have our engagement session?
Choose a location that is meaningful to you as a couple. Perhaps somewhere you went on one of your first dates, or the place where you proposed. I would be happy to recommend one of my favourite spots if you're not sure where to choose. Stanley Park is always a great choice, with so many different places to shoot.
We don't know how to pose. Will you be posing us?
Don't worry, I won't ask you to come up with poses on the spot. As much as possible I aim to capture you in your natural interactions with one another. I will provide some direction to create scenarios where you will look your best, in an environment that is visually beautiful. In addition, I have an extensive repertoire of poses that add that extra bit of romance, drama, and fun.
What should we wear?
I will send you a guide, recommending some options for outfits that complement each other nicely.
Do you work with a second photographer?
I always shoot with a second on the wedding day. This allows us to be in two places at once, and to get images from a greater variety of angles, with different lenses.

How many photos will I receive?
You will receive 60-75 fully edited images for each hour of coverage. I deliver 500-600 images for a typical 8-hour wedding , and around 75 images for a typical engagement shoot.
Can I get the original, unedited files?
It makes sense that you would ask, but please understand that this is like asking an artist to buy their unfinished work. The product that I deliver is the finished image, edited to my exacting standards. Anything less would not be representative of my brand.
Can I provide you with a shot list?
Of course! I'm sure you've seen some shots on Pinterest that you are absolutely in love with, and you are probably excited to have the same shot in your wedding album. I am happy to oblige. However, for the sake of originality and creativity, I aim to not go overboard with this type of shots.
When will I receive my photos?
You will receive a preview album of 25 images within 48 hours. I will post these images as a Facebook album (with your permission), and you will be able to share them immediately. The full collection of images will be delivered within 4-6 weeks of the wedding, as a downloadable gallery of full-resolution images, with no watermarks. You will also receive a keepsake USB drive, loaded with all your images.
Where are you located and how far will you travel?
My home studio is in Port Moody, but I also accept bookings in my alternate 'homes' - Maui and the Nelson, BC area. I travel throughout the Lower Mainland, shooting weddings in Vancouver, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Richmond, Delta, Tsawwassen, Steveston, Langley, Ladner, and the Fraser Valley. Travel fees apply for weddings outside the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
Can you provide other services, such as video or a photo booth?
I do not provide services other than photography, but I would be happy to provide you with referral to other companies that provide excellent services in these areas.
Do you use flashes?
I am a natural-light photographer. This means that I primarily shoot without flash, always looking for the most flattering natural light to photograph my couples in. That said, I also love the drama that off-camera flash can add to a photo shoot. I do use flashes more frequently during the dinner, reception, and dancing parts of the day.
What gear do you use?
I shoot with professional Canon cameras and a wide variety of L-series lenses. I always carry back-ups in case gear fails. My favourite lenses are my 100mm macro, 50mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.8, 70-200mm f/2.8, and 24mm f/1.4. I also carry several flashes for low-light situations or special dramatic images.
Do you offer albums and prints?
I work with Renaissance Albums to provide the highest-quality archival wedding albums, in a wide variety of sizes and designs. Prints can be ordered online, directly from your image gallery.
I want some images in black and white. Can you provide that?
I love the extra punch black and white can add, especially to those emotional moments. I will select all the images that I think might be good candidates, and deliver them in black and white. Of course, you can always request additional images in BW at no extra charge.
How far in advance should we book you?
I accept booking up to 24 months in advance. To ensure availability, I recommend that you secure your date as soon as you've booked your venue.
Do you offer discounts for "off-season" weddings?
Please contact me to discuss discounts for weddings that take place outside of the prime June to September wedding season.
Can we meet in person?
